Early on Steve was among those in Western Washington who saw a need for a more intensive and aggressive effort to plant churches. He, along with several others, helped transition the CEA into a strong church planting movement.  Steve and his wife, Annabelle, have planted two churches and given birth to one daughter church.  They are also involved in a church planting movement in the former Soviet Union.
